Emergency Plumbing
Active flooding, a major leak or burst pipe, sewer backup, and an urgent sump issue can cross several plumbing service categories. Begin by moving away from immediate hazards, then describe the active problem from a safe location.

Before calling Tiger
Move away from immediate hazards first.
Plumbing damage can overlap with gas, carbon-monoxide, electrical, flooding, and wastewater hazards. Personal safety comes before the service call.
- If you smell gas or suspect a gas leak, leave the area and contact emergency services or the gas utility from a safe location.
- If a carbon-monoxide alarm sounds or you suspect carbon monoxide, leave the building and contact emergency services from outside.
- If water is near energized electrical equipment or wiring, do not enter the area or touch the water or equipment. Contact emergency services or the appropriate utility.
- Avoid contact with sewage or backed-up wastewater, and keep other people and pets away from the affected area.
After immediate hazards have been addressed from a safe location, call Tiger and describe only what you can observe without entering the affected area.
Urgent, cross-service situations
Use this page when the problem is active now.
These situations can involve more than one plumbing system. The visible condition—not a homeowner diagnosis—is the useful place to begin.
Active flooding
Water is actively spreading through the home or entering an area where it can create an immediate hazard or additional damage.
Major leak or burst pipe
A supply pipe or plumbing connection is releasing a substantial amount of water, or a suspected burst pipe has created an active problem.
Sewer backup
Wastewater is backing up into a fixture or living area. Keep people and pets away from the affected space and describe what you can see from a safe location.
Urgent sump issue
A sump-pump concern is occurring while water is rising or entering the home. Do not enter water near electrical equipment.
Once you are safe
Call with the facts you can observe.
You do not need to investigate the source or attempt a repair. A simple description of the affected area and the current condition is enough to begin the conversation.
Call Tiger: 952-942-5748- The room or area affected
- Whether water or wastewater is actively spreading
- Which fixture, pipe, drain, or sump system appears involved
- Any gas, carbon-monoxide, or electrical hazard already escalated to emergency services or a utility
A phone-first path
Start with safety, then describe what is happening.
Get to a safe place
Move away from gas, carbon-monoxide, electrical, flooding, or wastewater hazards and contact emergency services or a utility when appropriate.
Describe the active problem
Tell Tiger what is happening now, where it is happening, and which plumbing system appears involved without entering an unsafe area.
Review what happens next
The current condition determines whether the next conversation belongs with urgent plumbing help or a focused planned-service page.
Urgent versus planned service
Keep ordinary repair on the focused service page.
