Toilet Repair & Installation
Whether the toilet has changed or you are planning a new installation, keep the first step simple: stop using an unsafe or overflowing fixture and tell Tiger what you have observed.
- Repair a toilet-specific problem
- Plan a toilet installation
- Choose drain or pipe service when the concern extends beyond the toilet
Overflow or wastewater
Stop use before the situation spreads.
An overflowing toilet or escaped wastewater is a sanitation and slip concern. Focus on avoiding contact and limiting continued use.
- Stop flushing and keep other people and pets away from escaped wastewater.
- Use the toilet's accessible shutoff only if the floor is dry, you already recognize the control, and it turns without force.
- If water has reached electrical equipment, outlets, wiring, or a panel, stay out of the affected area and address the immediate electrical danger first.
Do not remove the toilet, force a stuck valve, or use chemical drain products as a substitute for assessment. Tell Tiger if any chemical has already been used.
A toilet-specific service
Name the behavior. Leave the cause open.
These are reasons to arrange service, not instructions for identifying an internal part or completing a repair yourself.
The toilet keeps running
A change in normal operation is useful to report, but the sound or behavior alone does not identify the repair.
Water appears around the toilet
Stop using the toilet if water is escaping. Tell Tiger where you first noticed moisture and whether it is contained.
The toilet moves or feels unstable
Avoid using or testing a toilet that shifts. Movement needs assessment before anyone assumes what is loose or damaged.
You are planning an installation
A toilet installation conversation begins with the existing space and connections. Product fit and the condition of the setup should be reviewed rather than guessed.
Repair or installation
Keep the decision tied to the fixture.
Repair starts with assessment.
Current behavior, visible water, stability, and the surrounding setup all matter. Tiger can assess the toilet before explaining a repair path.
Installation starts with fit.
The existing space and connections should be reviewed before a new toilet is treated as compatible. Avoid making assumptions from dimensions or packaging alone.
What the conversation covers
Condition. Setup. Options.
Share the current condition
Describe what the toilet is doing, whether it can be used, and whether water or wastewater is escaping.
Let the setup be assessed
The toilet and its surrounding connections need to be viewed together before a repair or installation path is recommended.
Review the available path
Ask questions about the findings and the proposed next step before deciding how to proceed.
What belongs here
This page is about toilets.
Sink faucets, disposal service, drain cleaning, and whole-home pipe problems have their own service pages. Begin with the fixture or system that is actually affected.
If you are not sure which path fits, call Tiger and name the fixture where you first noticed the change.
Toilet service
Start with what the toilet is doing now.
Tell Tiger whether the need is an active problem or a planned installation. No diagnosis is required before you call.
