Sump Pump Repair & Installation
An active pump concern or planned installation begins with the existing pit, discharge, and power context. No page can promise that equipment will prevent every water event.
- Repair an operating change
- Plan an installation
- Assess the existing sump setup
Two service choices
Start with the system's current role.
Repair and installation share the same pit and drainage context, but they begin with different homeowner needs.
- 01
Repair
Call when the sump pump's normal operation changes, the unit does not appear to respond as expected, or the surrounding area shows a new concern. Do not test it from standing water.
- 02
Installation
A new or replacement installation conversation should account for the existing pit, drainage setup, power conditions, and the home's needs before equipment is selected.
Standing water and powered equipment
Do not enter water to inspect a pump.
A sump-pump concern can involve both water and electricity. Personal safety comes before checking the equipment.
- Stay out of standing water when a pump, cord, outlet, panel, appliance, or other powered equipment may be involved.
- Do not touch, unplug, reset, lift, or test the sump pump from a wet area.
- Call 911 for an immediate life, fire, or electrical threat, and keep other people and pets away until the area is made safe.
After the immediate area is safe, call Tiger and describe the water level, what changed, and whether the need is active repair or planning.
Repair or installation
Match the pump to the home's need.
Tiger can begin with the existing residential pump, pit, discharge, accessible power context, and visible condition before repair or installation options are discussed.
If the observed water problem points beyond the sump-pump equipment, Tiger can explain what belongs in this service conversation and what needs a different next step.
Helpful when you call
Share the condition, not a diagnosis.
You do not need to reach into the pit, handle the pump, or identify an electrical or mechanical failure.
- Whether the need is active repair or planned installation
- What changed around the pump, pit, discharge, or surrounding area
- Whether standing water is present and whether it is near powered equipment
- Whether a power interruption or recent weather event is part of the context
What the visit can establish
Look at the whole sump setup.
A useful assessment considers the current pump, pit, discharge, power context, visible condition, and the homeowner's repair or planning goal. Those facts guide the next conversation without turning one symptom into an assumed failure.
Tiger can explain the available residential repair or installation options after the existing setup is understood, including which next step fits the current equipment and home.
Sump pump service
Call from a dry, safe location.
Tell Tiger whether the need is repair or installation and what you observed around the existing setup.
